Why We Built This Site
Connecticut treats most arrest and custody information as public, yet that openness does not make a person easy to find. The real obstacle is knowing which office holds the record you need. Bristol has no county sheriff and no county jail, because the state folded every county jail and prison into one agency back in 1968. So the trail runs through several systems instead of one.
